Description - JChat
JChat is a very small and simple Chat system everybody may use for free on their web server, within the home network or even for direct communication between small Java-enabled devices (PDAs, etc...).
However, it has to be said that JChat is a very simple chat system, written and developed "just for fun". It will for sure not fulfill any professional demands.
Requirements
Server application:
An operating system with at least support for Personal Java specification.
Regarding usual desktop operating systems the usual Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is more than enough.
Client applet:
Should run with nearly all browsers and appletviewers handling Java applets.
However, it has to be said that JChat is a very simple chat system, written and developed "just for fun". It will for sure not fulfill any professional demands.
