Description - Pedigree Chart Designer
A Pedigree Chart is a description of a patient`s family History. For genetic diagnosis purposes, pedigree information is important for evaluation of the incidence of a disease and any associated mutations in a patient`s family.
CeGaT Now provides a program to draw pedigree charts - free of charge. Our Pedigree Chart Designer (PCD) allows you to design, store, load, and print pedigree charts. You are free to use the stored pedigree charts in any way you like, for example in medical history files, in presentations or in an order for genetic testing. If you need to change or extend a pedigree chart that you have previously created and stored, you can re-load it into the Pedigree Chart Designer and amend it. The Pedigree Chart Designer uses a common notation format. The PCD should be intuitively usable, but a user manual is also available.
