A more convenient way for renaming files via the use of the drag-and-drop functionality from most common word editors and web browsers. Add the files you want to rename into the application`s work area (also via drag-and-drop!), then select text elsewhere (your editor or browser) to be dragged to the files to be renamed. This application came from a need to rename lots of Multimedia files based on titles found on the net. Yes, those kinds of files. Control+C to copy3. F2 to initiate file rename4. Control+V to paste the new name The direct-but-still-long method:1. Select text for new name2. Right-Click on text3. Click on Copy command4. Right-Click on file5. Click on Paste command The Name Dropper method:1. Drag files to the Name Dropper window2. Select text for new name3. Drag text onto Name Dropper then drop on your intended file For more than five files or so this becomes a very convenient way for renaming files!
