The Times Tables Teacher

This program helps children to learn and test their Multiplication Tables. It includes the 12 single Times Tables, and a set of mixed tables from easy to difficult. The practice feature also offers the unique feature of "spoken tables", and children may adjust the speed of response as they choose during the cycle. The aim is to recreate as closely as possible the classroom experience of "saying tables aloud": this auditory Aspect of learning times tables is usually overlooked by multiplication learning programs, but it is a very effective aid in learning times tables. The other important function of the program is testing. Each test presents a set of random, non-repeating questions from a selected single- or mixed table. The correction for any wrong answer is shown before the next question appears. Children receive a score and feedback after each test, and are then encouraged to correct any wrong Answers given. A further feature is that all answers are entered via an on-screen "calculator pad", so typing on the keyboard is never required with this program.
