Simple file splitter and Joiner to help you MOVE those huge files across disks,around the network or burn to disk. You control the split size according to yourrequirements. The results are checksummed to ensure a successful split andrejoin. Splitting FilesUse the Browse button to select the file you want to split. The split size willbe automatically selected based on the size of the file you select. You canchoose a different split size from either the drop down combo or enter your owncustom size. When you change the split size, the number of resulting outputfiles is displayed. Next, select the folder where the output files will bewritten. You can also optionally select the memory buffer size to be used duringthe split. Click the Split button or just press Enter to begin the split operation. TheLog will be displayed showing the Progress of the split. When the split iscomplete the CheckSum of the resulting output files is computed and comparedagainst the original source file to ensure the split was successful. Joining FilesUse the Browse button to select one of the files you want to join. For example,MyFile.mpg.0001. Splitter will Extract the original file name and perform awild card search to find all the files, MyFile.mpg.* and sort the results innumeric order. From this, the number of files and original file size will becalculated. Next, select the folder where the output file will be written. Youcan optionally select the memory buffer size to be used during the join. Click the Join button or just press Enter to begin the join operation. The Logwill be displayed showing the progress of the join. When the join is completethe checksum of the resulting output file is computed and compared against thesource files to ensure the join was successful.
