1DCutX is the length cutting optimization add-in for Microsoft Excel. If finds how to cut linear (1D) stocks (bars, pipes, beams, wires, etc.) in order to minimize the material waste and the cost without leaving Microsoft Excel. It reads the spreadsheets, performs the optimization and generates the detailed report and the graphical layouts instantly within the same workbook. Usually when you need to cut some linear materials with standard length by smaller parts you have to get a cutting layout that describes how the required parts are cut from the available stocks. It`s hard to produce the cutting layouts manually therefore there are special software applications on the market that can do it automatically.
