Description - RadCmd

This is a utility to replace the command line of windows. On Windows 95/98 this is the Command.com program and on Windows NT/2000 this is the cmd.exe program. I wrote this because basically command.com is not adequate. Cmd.exe is a lot better, especially the Windows 2000 version, but even that had some features lacking. One thing that annoyed me was that you cannot change directory to a remote computer unless the drive was mounted. It is not necessary for this in RadCmd. Note that on Windows NT / 2000 the pushd command will mount the drive and then change directory to that drive. The filename completion of the Windows 2000 version is excellent and that is what I intend to implement in RadCmd although it hasn`t been done yet. The way in which it is implemented in Windows NT 4 is ok but not perfect and Windows 95/98 doesn`t have it all Features:-consistant use across all Windows platforms -works as much like cmd.exe (from Windows NT/2000) as possible -full support for the PROMPT environment variable -full support for the PATHEXT environment variable -directory stack (ie using pushd and popd commands) -pipes and redirection (ie using | and , >>, 2>, 2>>) -change directory to remote (UNC) drives -support for aliases -expansion Between
