Description - Where is my Disk Space(Mac OS X)

Where is my Disk Space? was inspired by my brother whose hard disk was full up and he did not know where all the space had gone to. I had to trawl through all his Folders finding out where all the space had gone. Using Sherlock found large files quite easily but was very slow. But it could not find folders that were using a lot of disk space, duplicate files, empty folder, or files which were part of a useless folder that could be trashed. 1. Select a disk to analyse.2. Wait while Where is my Disk Space? loads in the file data. A status bar with time remaining will show how long there is left until it is finished. This can take several minutes for large disks with large numbers of files.3. After the disk has been analysed a window will appear showing the top 500 largest files on the disk with the largest at the top.4. Double-clicking on a file will reveal it in the Finder. This feature is not available in demo mode.5. You may then MOVE the file to the trash if it is no longer needed.6. You can ignore certain files by type or by being in the same folder as Another File. Just select the file and choose Ignore this type of file or Ignore other file in this file`s folder from the Options Menu. This feature is not available in demo mode.7. At any time you can clear this by selecting Show all file types.8. You can save the window as a tab delimited text file using Save from the File menu. This feature is not available in demo mode.
