Conversion Calculator

The program is a simple executable. Just click the Calculator icon to run the program. This version of the program is capable of automatically inserting a start up Link on the Windows pop-up Start Menu, the desktop, or the QuickLaunch Toolbar. Choose the Help menu at the top of the program screen. Version 3.0 includes close to 1200 conversions, and can be updated to include even more conversions using either the Update button or by editing a text file with Notepad, making the program expandable. You can also display the conversion Factor for any given conversion by entering the number 1 into the calculator. For example when converting from miles to kilometers, entering `1` for miles and then converting to Kilometers reveals that the conversion factor is `1.609344`... 1. Enter a numerical value into the edit Box on the left. You can use the keyboard, the number pad, or right click with your mouse and choose paste from the pop-up menu. 2. Select a conversion from the drop down list to convert the number from a specified value to the indicated output value. The converted number will be displayed in the box on the right. 3. You can quicly find an item on the drop down list by selecting it on the `Convert From` drop down list. 4. The left precision setting controls the maximum number of Digits on the left side of the number while the right selector controls the number of Decimal places displayed. 5. To save each conversion in a text file, choose `Save as File` from the File menu. 6. Checking the comma box will format the output with commas -> 1,000,000. You can also enter commas into the input box on the left. 7. You can enter fractions using the `/` button or keyboard key. -> 1/2 8. You can enter negative numbers by pressing the minus button or key. (Negative numbers don`t always make sense. If you convert `inches` using a negative value, the conversion will be correct but will be a negative number.)
