The Elephant is a Remote Backup utility allowing users to backup their data over the Internet to a secure server. All data is encrypted and compressed prior to Transmission and backups are incremental. Users can try the software free for 30 days after which the service costs just about $3.00 per month for 50MB of disk space. It is important to remember that all data is compressed by approximately 250% before transmission, this means the ACTUAL amount of data stored on 50 MB could be up to 125MB. Additional disk space is avaliable at higher rates. Registration is required.
