A Hat in Time is a 3D platformer in which you play Hat Kid, a youngster with a stylish top hat and a surprisingly versatile umbrella. Hat Kid needs to travel the world reclaiming the Time Pieces that fuel her spacheship. If she can`t get them before the evil Mustache Girl does, the consequences could be disastrous.A reminder of a golden ageIf Hat Kid`s spaceship travels in time, A Hat in Time is also trying to get back to another era -- specifically, the golden age of the 3D console platformer. The gameplay and design intentionally evoke classics like Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Banjo-Kazooie. Indeed, some of the game`s music was composed by Banjo-Kazooie composer Grant Kirkhope. Like these classics, this game features colourful, cartoony graphics, bizarre characters and lots of fast-paced running and jumping action. The five areas you can explore include a crowded nightclub, a fast-moving train, the rooftops of a darkened city and more. As you progress, you`ll unlock new abilities for Hat Kid and her marvelous umbrella, giving her improved movement and combat powers.
