Description - Scrum Board

Scrum Board is for teams who use Scrum framework in their development process. It is simple but powerful tool to manage tasks during the SPrint. This tool can be useful for Scrum Master and Scrum Development Team during Daily Scrum (Standup) and Planning meetings. It completely replaces the sticker board that most of Scrum Teams are used to working with.

General Scrum Activities
At the beginning of each Sprint, the Scrum Team HOLD a Sprint Planning Meeting to negotiate which Product Backlog Items they will Attempt to convert to working product during the Sprint. Toward the end of the Sprint Planning Meeting, the team breaks the selected items into the list of Sprint Tasks. Every day at the same time and place, the Scrum Development Team members spend some minutes reporting to each other. During Sprint execution it is common to discover additional tasks necessary to achieve the Sprint goals.

Sticker Board
Usually it is useful to maintain a current Sprint Task List and Sprint Burndown Chart. Most of Scrum Teams are used to working with sticker board. Each task`s description is written down on sticker and put at the appropriate place of the board depending on task`s status.

Team Foundation Server
Teams who use Team Foundation Server usually register results of their activities via Team Explorer or Team Web Access on a daily basis. Scrum Board is an alternative to these instruments, because it`s a client of Team Foundation Server. Scrum Board represents tasks as Stickers and offers drag&drop capability for easy and intuitive task management. All changes made via Scrum Board immediately stored to Team Foundation Server. Result is the same if you would do it via Team Explorer or Web Access.
