Description - Corrupt MS Office 2007/2010 Extractor
This is a GUI powerhouse program for recovering text and images and repairing zip and XML structure of corrupt MS Office 2007 and 2010 format files (docx, xlsx, pptx). Some advanced XML knowledge may be needed to repair the XML files.
The program uses No-Frills Unzipper to unzip corrupt Office Open, docx, xlsx and pptx files. Corrupt Office Salvager above uses the slightly better 7zip for unzipping so is more likely to Extract text/data from corrupt files than this program, however, this one can extract images and even allows you to Attempt to repair the XML structure if you know how to do this. I Now do recommend a zip repair step before trying the text extraction.
