If you use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) to protect your computer against all sorts of malware you might wonder why this program doesn’t update when new sets of malware definitions have been released. Normally you would expect that an antivirus program updates almost immediately when new definitions are released. MSE doesn’t work that way because Microsoft has decided to merge MSE Update with Microsoft Update.
