IE Lock

Simpliciti IE Lockdown is a plug-in for Microsoft Internet Explorer that lets you set and password-protect Internet access on a local PC. Users of that PC are allowed to access only the sites you specify. IE Lock also blocks links received in instant messaging, e-mail, Microsoft Office documents, and other applications that use Internet Explorer as their browsing mechanism. IE Lock stops unauthorized surfing activities, keeping your users focused on their jobs, and preventing them from wasting your time and your bandwidth on non-productive Internet browsing. In addition, IE Lock: * Reduces network traffic by eliminating the Back and Forth request and denial Between the client and the proxy server. * Eliminates the cost of specialized, back-end proxy servers and subscription-based software solutions (in most cases). * Reduces network management costs and lowers the risk of virus infections. Because it works right on your PC desktops, IE Lock block attempts at inappropriate browsing before they reach the network. The "Allow List" can be managed on the individual client machines, or centrally on a server.
