Description - BookmarkVisit

BookmarkVisit is a small application specially developed for browsers that have no extension to provide an easy way to refresh the favicons for bookmarks. It uses the brute force approach of reading a bookmark file and opening every Link that starts with "http:" The built-in delays are probably not sufficient for dial-up. It`s really made to be used with broad band. Also the browser should be a tabbed browser. Usage: Set the browser that needs the favicons refreshed as the Default browser. Export your bookmarks as an .html file. Run bv.exe. A FileOpen Dialog will pop up. Select the .html file with your exported bookmarks. bv.exe will pick up the browser associated with the bookmark file from Windows. bv.exe reads the bookmarks file looking for href entries that start with "http:" and launches them. There`s a 3 second delay to allow the browser to open, and a 1/4 second delay Between opening each link in a new tab. When the tab count reaches 10, the browser processes are closed and it starts over. This avoids ending up with 80 Chrome.exe or Firefox.exe instances running hogging all the memory on the machine. Otherwise you could just open all bookmarks in each bookmark folder manually.
