Description - Falling Rod Leaning on a Wall Model
The Ejs Falling Rod Leaning on a Wall model displays the dynamics of a falling rod that is initially leaning against a vertical wall. The rod is dropped from rest while its end points are in contact with a vertical wall and a horizontal table. Friction is neglected. Fall times and the trajectory of the end of the rod and its center of mass are calculated. The initial lean can be changed via a slider and using the Events checkbox pauses the simulation when the rod loses contact with The Wall.
