Description - HD Workbench

HD Workbench is a Windows 2000/XP utility that can be used to examine your disk`s health utilizing S.M.A.R.T. and read/write disk tests. Data can be evacuated from failing disks by making an an exact Sector by sector clone of the failing drive. Individual volumes can be backed up to raw image files and the MBR and individual boot sectors can also be backed up and Restored. HD Workbench does NOT run in the background unlike many other SMART monitoring tools. Nor does HD Workbench calculate a T.E.C. date! When using HD Workbench for a first time a full test (read-only) is recommended. If there`s evidence for `bad sectors` run the full read/write test.A TEC (Threshold Exceeds Condition) date tries to predict when a SMART failure will occur or when a specific Threshold will be reached. Since SMART itself is already predictive (it predicts a failure rather than telling there IS a problem), a TEC feature `tries to predict` a Prediction! In our opinion TEC prediction is only cause for a lot of false alarms and nervous breakdowns.HD-Workbench has been released as FREEWARE..Use the following registration information:Name: diydatarecoveryCode: 67200-6C480-7CC80-67200-64080-77A00-64080-75900-68280-CC3
