CUBE 2 is a musical instrument and the ultimate tool for sound designers who have always wanted a direct and intuitive access to all audio components. Every conceivable sound can be decomposed into its (in-) harmonic partials, the "sine wave Spectrum," and into a noise component, the "residual noise spectrum." Are presented, the spatial representation of a sound can use a "panoramic spectrum. The temporal evolution of these three Spectra is a very intuitive way of describing each sound. CUBE 2 is working with this model, which allows for the creation and manipulation of sound structures in a very simple and musical way.
