Usually, you do not need to rewrite addresses for internal mail because typically companies have contacts for the other company`s mailboxes and both companies know how to route mail to each other. Also, in this same scenario, Microsoft Office Outlook and Outlook Web Access in both organizations can automatically resolve any e-mail: the recipients in the From:, To: and Cc: are in their corresponding Active Directory, which enables them to resolve and display the correct display names and addresses.
