Description - SETI CLI

CLI Install Instructions - A How-To for installing the CLI and other add-ons in Windows This was very time consuming for me (as it is for you ?), so I made the following setup, which basically does the same as the GUI version (and more !), but has much better performance in crunching WorkUnits from Seti@Home and saves me a lot of time in setting up new computers with Seti @ Home ... It`s a kind of Batch Installation for NEW computers (or a setup if you want to switch from GUI to CLI), which includes the following: - Seti @ Home Client 3.08, - Setup SetiDriver 1.6.4.3 on a location (folder) on the computer you specify. - Setup SetiSpy 3.3.3, as Far as it needs to be setup, including the BackupEmailAddr= line, in which the Update problem is solved !! With this new (3.3.3) version the stats can be updated correctly again.... - A MD5 CheckSum Utility (Thanks to Robert Javornik) for verification the real CLI is being used to process the WorkUnits, - Setup the `Shut Down problem` in Win 9x/ME for running applications (as far as I know, please comment here if it doesn`t), which will put _default.pif in your Win Sys directory. A REBOOT is required after setup, - Automatically makes a shortcut of SetiDriver 1.6.4.3 and SetiSpy 3.3.3 to the desktop AND to the Startup Folder, so that it starts automatically the next time you start Windows. - In the Installer you can fill in your Proxyserver, if you Connect to one. The first unit you receive will already connect to it !! - This setup tries to uninstall the Seti @ Home GUI (screensaver) client (3.03 or 3.07) at the end of the installation automatically, as you will not need it anymore (please read the instructions CAREFULLY in this setup !!) - The setup includes an uninstall option, so if you`re not satisfied somehow about this program, you can kill it ....
