A Demonstration of Wave Attenuation

This is a simulation that you can download and run on your Windows computer. Below is a Screen Shot of the simulation demonstrating wave attenuation. If you decide to download and install the simulation program you will be able to run this simulation on your computer and change the settings shown below. This simulation shows you how a sine wave decays or "attenuates". The attenuation constant of a wave depends on the type of material it is traveling through. The more "lossy" a material is, the more the wave is attenuated. When you run the simulation, you will be able to adjust the knobs to see what kind of alterations you can make to the wave.
