Description - WrNet
WrNet is a Windows command line utility that will instruct a Cisco router to save its running-config to a TFTP Server using SNMP. WrNet can be combined with the Windows NT Scheduler service to automate the backups of Cisco router configurations. Installing the WrNet utility: The WrNet utility can be copied into the WINNT directory to insure that it is included in the command path. A program to use SNMP to instruct a Cisco router to copy its RunningConfig to a TFTP server. -To make sure this program runs correctly, add "snmp-server community WORD rw"- to your Cisco router configuration. Replace "WORD" with the SNMP community name of your choice.
