Dynamic Update Tester

Dynamic Update Tester (DynUp) is an application to test the implementation I made of dynamic updates (RFC2136). Updates are sent to a compatible DNS server on port 53 (Default), not to a dynamic DNS services. Note: this is a test application, not an automatic IP updater. The latest builds include the implementation of HMAC-MD5 (RFC2845) and GSS (RFC3645) Transaction signatures (TSIG) for secure dynamic updates. GSS with SPNEGO/kerberos v5 is supported. The host names are optional. You may enter many and separate them with either a blank, a comma or a semi-colon. An A record must exist for every host name to update. Do not include the zone name. The Update Zone option allows the update of the A record of the root. This version was successfully tested on ISC Bind 9.2.4r4 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition.
