Description - GUIdir

This utility calls the DOS dir command to search for files and Folders, then returns the results in a floating list Box. It has the advantage over the windows find command in that it can be called from a command line; ideal for users who prefer to drop into typed commands now and again, either using the windows Run command, the Address Bar, or a 3rd party command line shell utility such TrayCl. It has the advantage over the dir command by itself in that the results are active, selecting one will run it. This utility is for those who use a command line inteface in Windows, whether that be a dos window, the run command, the address bar, or a third party utility such as TrayCL. It acts as an interface to the DOS dir command, returning the list of files found in a list box which allows them to be opened by clicking on them, or selecting them with the keyboard and pressing Enter. The containing folder can be opened instead by right clicking or pressing Shift+Enter.
