Transcription Buddy is available in three different editions. These include: The Player Edition plays pre-recorded audio files and allows you to listen and control the playback, while at the same time, transcribing the audio into another PC application like Word. An optional foot pedal is available to control the playback. The Recorder Edition has all of the playback features of the Player Edition, including support for an optional foot pedal, but also includes the ability to record audio from a Microphone on the PC`s mic input jack or with a USB mic like the Philips Speech Mike Pro. The Dial-Out Edition has all of the playback features of both the Player Edition, and the Recorder Edition. When used with a compatible voice modem, the Dial-Out Edition also works as a transcription station or "C-Phone" and will allow your PC to control playback on dictation systems from companies like Dictaphone and Lanier.
