It is evident today that the Church of Jesus Christ is not the same nor does it act the same as it did some 1600 years ago. Why 1600 years ago? It was around 300-400 AD that the Church became a political force instead of a redeeming force when it mingled with the State under Constantine which made Christianity the Religion of his Court and Theodosius that made Christianity the State Religion. Now the Military Spirit of Imperial Rome had entered the Church. The Church had conquered the Roman Empire. But in Reality the Roman Empire had conquered the Church, by making the Church over into the Image of the Roman Empire. The Church had changed it nature, had entered it Great Apostasy, and had become a Political Organization in the Spirit and Pattern of Imperial Rome. The imperial Church of the 4th and 5th centuries had become an entirely different institution form the persecuted church of the first three centuries. In its ambition to Rule it lost and forgot the spirit of Christ. Worship, at first very simple, was developed into elaborate, stately imposing ceremonies having all the outward Splendor that had belonged to heathen temples. Conversion of the Barbarians, The Goths, Vandals and Huns who overthrew the Roman Empire accepted Christianity; but to a large extent their conversion was nominal and this further filled the Church with Pagan practices. Thus the Church and mingled down this road of compromising with governments until you cannot tell the difference Between Church and State. Today, approximately 85-90 percent of all churches in the United States have the real of Caesar?on the door posts as they have been duped by lawyers, governments, CPA`s and well known ministers that practices good stewardship,?to climb in bed with the state and become a corporation under IRS Code 501(c)3. Thus, the church looses its power again by turning it over to the State and letting the State tell them what they can and
