BZR Player is a sound player for Windows with the primary goal being able to play a lot of different file formats, Currently over 400 different ones. It is developed using C++ and QT. The sound engine is based on Fmod. The first version was released 12-Apr-2008.

Normalizer, reverb, and custom pitch. Unpacks and plays sounds from zip, rar, 7-Zip, atr (atari), gzip. Supports unicode. Drag`n`drop. Lots of visualizers. Bookmarks. Command line functions. Server functions. Control the program with sockets. Detailed file information for all formats ((id3v1, id3v2, instruments, samples, patterns etc.). HTTP Streaming. Pattern view for SoundFX songs.

BZR Player is able to play a massive amount of different file formats without any 3rd party plugins and can show lots of information of the currently playing file. It also doesn`t care about the file extension.

BZR Player is for the user that want to play a lot of different file formats and don`t want to install several different applications and a bunch of plugins. The typical user want to listen to old school music from retro computers.
